Time

Description
The first global environmental awakening coincided with the publication of Silent Spring in 1962 and evolved rapidly thereafter. Over the past 50 years, society has grappled with a range of challenges including insufficiently regulated pesticides, acid rain, the ozone hole, waste, and climate change. This past half-century also has witnessed many achievements in citizen awareness, organizational standards, and public policies/legislation.
This panel invites experts to look back on what we have learned from these challenges and apply learnings to current and future problems.
