Re-Imagining the Leave No One Behind pledge of the 2030 Agenda – Presented by the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation and VIDEA
Thursday, March 3, 2022
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (EST)

The ‘Leave No One Behind’ (LNOB) pledge was adopted as a cross-cutting theme of the Sustainable Development Goals. This presents a unique opportunity to consider innovative ways that youth deconstruct, decolonize, and reimagine the LNOB pledge in their research, outreach and advocacy.

This panel will act as a platform for powerful stories from youth in British Columbia, Canada, who face compounding and intersecting barriers which they resist, challenge, and overcome in their everyday lives. Drawing on lived experience, the speakers will advocate for policy-makers and other stakeholders to move beyond performative tokenism to provide real, effective, and meaningful opportunities for youth from marginalized and underrepresented communities to participate in policy-making processes and multi-stakeholder platforms in the context of the SDGs.
